On November 26, QIJI Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (QIJI Energy), a subsidiary of CATL, and Yantian International Container Terminals Limited (Yantian International) jointly announced that the world's first in-port heavy-duty truck chassis battery swapping station was officially put into operation. The two companies will join forces in the upgrading of port logistics, the development of smart ports, and the development of a green and low-carbon transportation system. This will provide valuable experience and reference for the promotion and application of new energy heavy-duty trucks，both in Shenzhen and across the country. 

In response to the Pilot Work Plan of Shenzhen on Building a Service Network for Truck Chassis Battery Swapping, QIJI Energy and Yantian International have established the world's first in-port heavy-duty truck chassis battery swapping station at the Yantian Port Area. Such a significant innovation for the port transportation field across the world, pioneeringly combines green energy and modern logistics, bringing dual advantages of  cost-effectiveness and eco-friendliness to the logistics industry. 

The chassis battery swapping solution is more efficient, more economical, safer and more eco-friendly than other battery swap solutions. In the world's first in-port heavy-duty truck chassis battery swapping station, not only can different models and different brands of pure electric heavy-duty trucks be swapped in one stop, but the recharging time can also be shortened from one hour to five minutes, greatly improving port operation efficiency. Furthermore, QIJI Energy's bottom-mounted battery design has increased a vehicle's battery capacity to 342kWh, not only lowering the center of gravity, making for a safer and more stable driving experience, but also enables one battery charge, a full-day range, diminishing suspension time caused by frequent charging, and thereby ensures efficient operation of port logistics. 

Moreover, the energy cost of heavy-duty trucks is expected to be 20% less than that of trailers powered by conventional fuels. The first batch of nearly 100 pure electric heavy-duty trucks launched under the cooperation of both sides will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 5,000 tons per year. This can significantly improve the port environment and the surrounding area, bring up the efficiency of port logistics, and make contributions to air pollution control in Shenzhen. 

Moving forwards, QIJI Energy will intensify cooperation with Yantian International to contribute to the high-quality growth of ports in Shenzhen and China's "dual carbon" goals.
