CATL and Eaton establish strategic cooperative partnership
On December 14, 2021, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and Eaton Power Quality (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Eaton) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province.
As the world is actively advocating energy transformation and striving for carbon neutrality, the two sides will implement comprehensive strategic cooperation based on a shared vision of energy transformation and sustainable development, and will share and integrate their respective quality resources following the principle of “complementary advantages, mutual benefits, sincere cooperation and common development.”
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate on product R&D, marketing, business model and service response mechanism. CATL will facilitate Eaton to improve its backup source solutions for its UPS lithium-ion batteries in business-level applications. And Eaton will provide energy-efficient products and solutions for CATL’s intelligent manufacturing projects and product solutions.
Meanwhile, with the support of CATL’s world leading technologies in new energy application solutions and services and Eaton’s comprehensive capacity in providing corporate digitalization and intelligent solutions, the two sides will jointly develop energy-storage solutions for various application scenarios in a bid to make contributions to the energy transformation and sustainable development of the world.
